Why GoGreen

"What's the point of going green if you're the only one trying? Well, you're not the only one anymore. Polls show that attitudes against global waste are rising. This could be in response to the constant rising levels of the oceans, the depletion of our planet's oceans and forests, the loss of wildlife and startling reports from science experts who continue to tell us that we must stop consuming our world. If you were not sure of the reasons to gogreen, just take a look around and decide if you love the way your life looks now, because it's possible that your children and future generations won't be able to see the same thing.
There's just too many people on the planet not to join in the effort. In 1800, the world's populations were at 1 billion. That number is expected to grow to over 9 million by 2050. That means that even if the world's resources were evenly distributed, which they have never been, then only 25 percent of the amount of resources available in 1950 would still be available for people in the future. Not only that, but some of the nature's resources are already depleted. You ever wonder how there can be so much fish in the sea if we keep on taking them out without putting anything back in?
An even greater threat is the amount of waste that one American produces in a year. If you think about all of the things that you throw away on a daily basis, did you ever think what you could have done to recycle or reuse any of those items. For example, plastic yogurt containers can be used as small seed planters or painter's pots.
Another reason to gogreen are the staggering statistics. For every ton of paper that is recycled, you save 7,000 gallons of water, 380 gallons of oil, and enough electricity to power an average house for six months. You can also run a TV for six hours on the amount of electricity that is saved by recycling one aluminum can. It's clear that in our journey to gogreen, everything is connected and means saving in multiple resources.
No effort goes without gratitude if you create a daily task to recycle. You can help save the planet simply by paying attention to what you buy and what you throw away. Not only that, you could save money simply by choosing to recycle and reuse in an effort to gogreen. "
